LPN Nurse

If you’re looking for a career change, or just getting ready to graduate from high school, you should strongly consider becoming an LPN nurse.  Let’s face it, in today’s economy things are a lot different than they were five or ten years ago.  Back then, just about every sector of the robust economy was booming.  Except for a very few sectors, the job opportunities in every field were virtually wide open.  Anyone with skills and a good attitude had no trouble landing a better paying job than the one they had.  Wages were good, companies were hiring, and the average person’s job satisfaction was very high.  So what’s that got to do with being an LPN nurse?

Well, for most jobs and careers,  that’s no longer the case.  Major companies are going out of business.  Blue chip companies are getting billions of dollars from the federal government to prop them up.  Plants are shutting down.  Experts say that some three thousand American malls will go out of business in the next year or so.  Things have changed in the job market, and the good times have stopped rolling.  Except for one field – health care.  Which means that LPN jobs are one of the hottest job opportunities out there right now.

And don’t confuse becoming an licensed practical nurse with the much lengthier and rigorous registered nursing programs.  Those degree paths take four years to complete.  That’s a long time to wait.  But by going the LPN nurse route, you can be out working in just about a year.  And these jobs pay very well.  Especially considering today’s economy.  And guess what?  Thanks to the wave of baby boomer retirements coming, demand for LPN’s is only going to continue to increase.  If you’re looking for a great paying job with a fantastic future, along with job stability, it’s hard to beat LPN nurse these days.
